The apple challenge continues and I am proud to say that I have not missed one day! Not one single day. Woot! Woot! I've got two weeks to go and already have some ideas for my next 30 days... I am loving this. Especially with all the work I'm doing in Washington state--the apples here are to. die. for. here. Mmmmmm...
What I'm not loving is the rest of my diet lately. Ugh. I've been indulging in too many treats and too much wine and I'm feeling the burden of those decisions. I'm sluggish, headachy, crabby, and disappointed in myself. Sooooo, I stopped. And when I arrived in Wenatchee last night I unpacked and took myself straight to the grocery store. I have a hotel room with a fridge and a microwave (!!!!) and so I'm cleaning myself up this week. And I already feel better. I had breakfast in my room this morning (after hitting the treadmill), packed my own lunch for the training, and will be enjoying dinner in front of the TV this evening. Without wine.
Life is about decisions. I'm not perfect all the time--nor do I want to be. When I'm having dinner with my husband for the one night I'm in town, I'm going to have another glass of wine. When I'm enjoying a meal out with my colleagues and there's warm bread on the table, I'm probably going to go for it. But when I'm here, working and trying to keep my energy up for seven hour trainings for five days in a row, I'm going to go back to what I know works for me... clean eating. With lots of veggies and protein, black coffee, no wine and gallons of water. With an apple on top.

Cheers!

Good question. There's a fridge on site so I packed whole wheat bread with avocado, sprouts, and spinach. I also had my apple and some raw almonds. Mmmmm.

I'm wondering what you bought to pack for your lunch?
